With 25 years professional work experience, John Fick is the founder and
Managing Director of Capital Technic Group Pty Ltd, a technology and
management consulting company he established in 1983. John has broad
experience across many vertical markets, including markets for agriculture,
communications, IT, energy, environment, finance/banking, security and
transportation.
John's focus is corporate advisory, new ventures, international
technology commercialisation and knowledge & technology consulting. Prior to
joining CTG full time he has had a successful corporate career including the
management of research and new product development (leading teams up to 160
R&D engineers and scientists, and has filed several patents) as well as
positions including General Manager - Strategic Management in large public
company environments. John has extensive experience in restructuring
businesses, insolvency management, outsourcing and commercial negotiation
which bring additional insights to client assignments.
With direct experience in over 30 countries in technology
commercialisation, in structuring joint venture programs, venture capital
and the design of research institutes, John is also a proven project manager
and team leader. He is a Director of several technology and investment
companies, and is an experienced public company director.
